Sheikh Mohamed Efendi tonight sat with the mureeds in the room to the left when you enter the derga. This same room witnessed the early prayers, many Zikr, meals served by Mawlana, and sohbet with the Master. This room was The derga for many years before the extension in the year 1990. The size of this room is approx 3,5 m x 5.5 m. Big enough to hold max 20 people. However, it’s walls were made wide enough to host all mureeds with the master for many happy events. Mawlana said, that the old building in Mekka can expand enough to host all the guests coming to give their respect to The Lord of the Kaaba. The true intimacy and familiarity felt inside this room, can’t be found else were in the derga. For that reason Mawlana kept this room for meeting the mureeds before their departure back to their country. He gave all the advices, answered all the questions, explained many difficult points, and comforted all the broken hearted coming to him seeking help. He also shook the walls with Devine anger when it was needed. It was his office and meeting place for many years. In it he sat like a magnet giving order and shape to all the attenders. As Mawlana once said, the master amongst his followers is like the magnet placed in the center of the metal powder. It gives them orientation and attracts their hearts to the station that transmits their love up to Devine presence. That station tonight witnessed the first meeting between sheikh efendi and a group from Chicago USA. They sat, listened, spoke what in their heart, sang to him their love and affection, their being there said it all… We love you sheikh efendi please keep us under your protection. Thank God Almighty for placing such a perfect spiritual magnet in our life, in our hearts, and after tow years of waiting it is back in its room in the derga.
